Today was a quiet day at work. Not a whole lot going on. I did have a 2pm with Linda. We talked about a situation with a GSR’s funding opportunity. We think it would be less complicated if she went with another offer, but we are going to talk to Nancy about it tomorrow. She took two personal days and I am ready for her to come back it is quiet without her. What am I going to do when she retires in January 2020? It will be so strange without her here. After the meeting, I did some requests and organized a bit. The meeting is the only thing that I had for the day.
After work, I met up with Drew. It was so nice outside. The sun was shining and it was warm. I was craving something good for dinner, but I didn’t know what. We are getting ready to leave for England, so we really are trying to do any extra spending, but at the same time, I wanted something like comfort food. I didn’t know what. We stopped at the store on the way home. We picked up a case of corona light, limes, and ingredients to make nachos. We decided on a nachos grande for dinner.
When we got home, I cleaned up the dishes in the sink and started dinner. He browned the meat. I also made the salmon burgers for lunch tomorrow. They were supposed to be tonight’s dinner. After they were done, I put them on a plate and set them aside to cool down so they could be packed away in the fridge.
We put our nachos in the oven to let the cheese get bubbly. While the nachos were in the oven, I went upstairs and grabbed a quick shower, while he kept an eye on the nachos. I changed into some PJs. I was ready to relax, eat nachos, and drink a beer with my Husband. We watched Teen Mom 2, while we ate dinner. I love the drama that is this show. I have been watching it for so long. It is a new season. I am glad Leah told Kail about Briana and Javi, but it got so twisted. She never said they were sleeping in the same hotel room, just the same hotel. I kinda felt bad for Briana that it got switched up like that. Oh wow, I am too into this!
After Teen Mom, we watched an episode of The Office. We really haven’t watched this show in a while. Some parts were hilarious like “Date Mike.” Drew finds this show so funny. I do, but I don’t. There are some highs to this show and some lows. The beginning of the show, like the first couple seasons, were hilarious. I don’t have the heart to tell him that I am over it. Thankfully, we still watch other things.
After the Office, Drew had a second helping of nachos, and I cleaned up. He felt bad, but I left him his plate and a casserole dish to clean. I didn’t mind cleaning up. I was so tired. I kissed him and went upstairs to get ready for bed.
