Parents Arrive Unexpectedly

After work today, I went to my parents to watch the dogs. I was excited just to hang out, relax, and catch up on Riverdale. My parents weren’t due home until tomorrow, so I had one more night to snuggle my dogs.
After I got them out to go to the bathroom, I fed them, and then I sat down and ate the rest of my subway sandwich from last night. Mother nature came yesterday and paid be a visit, so kind of her. My PMS was easier this time. I wish it could be like that all the time.
After dinner, I went up and took a shower, and then put some comfortable clothes on. I was so tired. I wanted to get to bed early tonight and get a good nights sleep. I watched Riverdale some more and finished my laundry. My phone rang around 9pm. I looked at the screen it was my mom. She said, we are on our way home! I said, “what?” she said, “Yea we drove straight through. We are in Washington, PA and we will see you around 10pm.” I said, “Oh wow okay.” I was looking forward to snuggling my dogs for one more night, but I will see them again soon. I  have to come back and dog sit in September.
When they arrived home, I took the dogs outside to greet them. My parents were so happy to see the pups.
Once inside, my parents greeted me and thanked me for taking care of the dogs. They insisted that i just spent the night anyway because I have a hair appointment in Crafton the next day. I agreed that would be smart. I didn’t really feel like packing the car up tonight anyway. They unpacked and gave me some gifts they bought on their trip. My dad got me a dream catcher, and some shot glasses for Drew. They seemed relaxed for the most part.
Before going to bed, I watched a little bit of the protest for Antwon Rose. He was shot 3 times in the back by a East Hills Pittsburgh police officer. He ran from the police and then the officer shot him three times. The protesters are upset because a 17-year old boy is dead. Other people in the city are asking why did he run? The city of Pittsburgh is divided, and there is a call to end the violence and police brutality. I tend to side with the police. I have a space in my heart for police officers and I really support them and their difficult positions. They have a hard job and they are always underappreciated. My head was spinning with thoughts. I watched some more of the protest on my phone, as I laid in my old bed, trying to sleep. The dogs laid with me for a while. They stayed with me until 4am, then went in with my parents.
