We woke up around 9am, and got ready to got to the pool. It was going to be a nice day and we were ready to just lay by the pool until the afternoon. I put on my Rock republic American Rebel shirt, and we were off to the pool.
Once we arrived, it wasn’t too packed. We laid our towels down on the green turf that has been there since I was child. I used the legit suntan lotion on my face and rest I used tanning oil. I know, I know. I haven’t learned my lesson, but it is protective oil and it is SPF4. I know skin cancer is a legit real thing. I did have a biopsy, but thankfully it wasn’t cancer. I just love the sun. I gravitate to it. I always have. We get so little of it here in Pittsburgh. It is nice to soak it up when possible.
We left the pool around 2:30pm-3:00pm. We like to get there early, but leave early as well. We went home, got showered and took our time getting ready to head to my parents. I was excited to see them and see my dogs, but first I had to put on my fourth of July American flag dress.
I thought about wearing my Union Jack flag tank top that I got from England last year, but I figured better to wear the American Flag, then the Union Jack. 🙂
Once we got to my parents, I was in charge of the buffalo chicken dip. Andrew and I must have been so hungry. The dip didn’t have a prayer. Around 5:30pm or 6pm. My dad started up the grill, and I sat outside with my dogs. I miss them so much. I do miss living at home and cuddling them, but they are well taken care of at my parents. It is always so good to see them. My mom made her usual macaroni salad, baked beans, and broccoli for a vegetable. We ate at the dining room table.
After dinner, we stayed for fireworks. We were able to watch them from their porch. I am not much for fireworks, but it isn’t the Fourth of July without them.
