Personal Day

When we woke up, we got ready and went to the pool. I put my phone in my pool bag just in case I should hear back. Today was supposed to be the day. I was keeping my fingers crossed in hopes I would hear something.

At the pool, it was hard to relax. I kept looking back at Drew, who was laying on the towel. I was in the shallow end of the pool trying to lay out. relax, and enjoy the sun, when it came out of the clouds. It wasn’t the most ideal pool day, but I was trying to make it work.

Around 2:15pm, we left the pool and I went home and showered. I had birthday errands to run for Drew. His birthday is tomorrow. Dylan came over my house and accompanied me to the mall to get his birthday gift. We walked the mall and reminisced how the mall used to be so busy. It was nice hanging out with Dylan. We never really hang out just him and I. I usually only see him when I hang out with Anthony. I bought Andrew his favorite cologne from Macy’s and then we went to Walmart. I had to get gift wrapping, a birthday card, face wash, body wash, and Andrew asked me to pick up a few things.

When I got home, I said goodbye to Dylan. I put Drew’s gift together and sign the card. Then I sat down and started to work on my paper. I realized I need my book. I can’t do anything without my book. I looked in my bookbag and remembered that I left it in my office. I didn’t plan to take the day off today. I  told Drew the news and he said, when he got home we would go back to Pitt and get my book. I was so upset that I left my book at work.

Thankfully, we were able to drive to Pitt and back in record time. I started typing up my paper using my cell phone on the way home. When we got home, I sat down and finished my paper, and sent it off to my writing tutor for review. My head was everywhere. I had so much I needed to accomplish with my summer class ending, RMU CLA curriculum, and the project with my advisor. I was also anxious to hear the decision about an opportunity.

For dinner, we ordered pizza and just hung out the rest of the evening.
