This morning, we went to the wave pool. It was going to probably be the last Saturday we could attend. Our schedules are jam packed when school starts. It was hot and humid out so it was the perfect pool day.
When we approached the pool, and walked along the green turf we noticed that half the pool was roped off. Drew said, “oh I bet they don’t have enough life guards. They all went back to school.” I said, “yea, they could have charged us half the price.” We laid out on our towels, and lathered up with sunscreen. I laid in the water for a while. I felt like I was trapped in a Dashboard Confessional song. Specifically, the song that says, “So long sweet summer.”
Anyway, we stayed until about 2:30pm, then I had some things I needed to accomplish before I started at CMU on Monday. I was a bit nervous to start a new institution, but excited to see what the week was going to bring.
On Sunday, we organized the basement, and got some things put away in plastic bins and taken down to the garage, or thrown out. There is a good chance Drew is going to be working from home soon in the near future, and I already claimed the upstairs extra bedroom as my office. Also, it gave us a reason to go through the random things in the basement.
