This morning, I was a little tired from the Late-Night event, but it was RMU’s homecoming!
Around 12pm, I met with the Assistant Dean of Students to help her coordinate the logistics for homecoming court. I love being back on campus. RMU is my home.
When it was time to crown the homecoming king and queen, I helped her pin the corsages on the candidates and followed them on to the field. We stood on the sidelines until it was time. Dr Howard and his wife came onto the sidelines with us. I introduced myself to Dr. Howard and I told him who I was, and how I was an alumna here at RMU and how I am in graduate school at the University of Pittsburgh and I am expected to graduate in 2020. He said, what do you want to do after graduation? I said, I want to come home to RMU. He nodded and smiled. He said, here is my card I may have a project I need your help with. He told me to send him my resume. I told him that I would do so as soon as I left here today. I also told him that I am graduate intern in the office of student activities and leadership development, under John Locke. He was glad to hear it and said that he didn’t want to interfere with John, but to e-mail him my resume. I was so excited!
