Sunday Pool Day

This morning, we woke up had some coffee and I watched Part One of the finale for the Spanish Princess.
Image result for spanish princess I hate how they ended it. Part 2 will not air until sometime in 2020! It’s a good thing I studied the British monarchy!
Drew was slow to come downstairs this morning. Drew made eggs for us for breakfast, and we took it easy until it was time to get ready to go back to the pool. The original plan was to possibly go to Stephanie’s pool and swim with her kids, Emma and Stephen, but she was coming down with a cold and an ear infection! I told her to please rest up and we will see her as soon as she feels better!

Drew and I went to the wave pool and laid out until about 3:15pm. He wanted to grill out this evening. When we got home, we made chicken on the grill. It was so good! I love it when he grills out. I also made guacamole and I think we filled up on that before dinner.

Our neighbor came outside talked to us for a bit. I guess some of the board members came by and power washed the siding of our house. There was some moss or green color to it from lack of sunlight. I was glad the association took care of it for us.

Goals for next week:

  • Continue to read for my summer class
  • write my 200-250 word original discussion post and have it posted by Friday 6/28
  • meet with my adviser to prep for my interview

Superbowl 2019

The Super Bowl is on tonight. Who are you rooting for? or are you just tuning to watch the halftime performances? or maybe you want to catch some of the commercials? I will be watching it for a little. I am rooting for Tom Brady and the Patriots. I have been in love with him for a while. I just think he is cute.image.png I know that there are people out there, who will say he is a cheater and that he played with deflated balls etc. I am not a die-hard fan and don’t care if he “cheated” he is just nice to look at in my opinion.

The half time performance this year is Maroon 5, Cardi B, and I can’t think who else at the moment, but I want to go back to 2001 when the most epic half time performance happened.  Please take me back to when Britney Spears, Nelly, Aerosmith, NSYNC, and Mary J Blige collaborated on one stage.
super-bowl-moments_80310356.jpgPlease bring me back to those days. There will never be another more amazing half time performance.

After this performance of Super Bowl 2001, the half time shows went downhill.

So no matter the reason you are planning to watch the Super Bowl tonight, enjoy the game and party safely!

The Handmaid’s Tale Finale

My plans on Wednesday fell through. Originally, I was supposed to go to barre class, then get ice cream at either the Sewickley confectionery or dairy queen like last week with Anthony. Then come back to my house and watch The Handmaid’s Tale. Well, Anthony texted me and said he had a hell of a day and was not feeling well. He canceled on me. I was bummed at first, but it all kind of worked out. Ever since Monday, I have been a little off with my stomach. For lunch, I typically bring a homemade spinach salad with mushrooms, little tomatoes, radishes, cucumbers, and oil is the dressing. I eat that every day no problem.
On Monday, I used mushrooms from last week thinking they were still good. I bet they weren’t. My stomach was off on Monday, in the afternoon, and still off (I am better now). I hate feeling sick at work. Having Anthony cancel on me, was probably best.
When we got home, Andrew went to the store for me and got me some soup and crackers.  He heated up the soup and I watched the finale of the Handmaid’s Tale. Here are my thoughts. SPOILER ALERT: Okay, what the hell was Offred thinking?!? Get in the Hummer and get out of there! Are you going to stay in Gilead!? for what!? I am glad you got Holly/Nicole safely, but are you thinking girl!? You missed your chance. I love how she slapped the commander. Yes, that’s right! That was probably my favorite scene.  I hated how he said, “Could be nice, we could try for a boy.” Ugh gross. No way. What about Nick? I feel back for Luke/June, but I like Nick and June better. I don’t know. I just do. Nick is way cuter. What are they going to do in Season three? Is she really going back to that house? They won’t take her back. I am so ready for Season 3. Comment below if you like.

Very Cavallari Review

Tonight, Very Cavallari aired on E. I have been waiting for this show to debut! I grew up in the beginning of the reality television era and I loved shows like Laguna Beach, The Hills, etc. I remember clearly the cliques that broke out over Team LC or Team Kristin. I was team Kristin. I did like Lauren, but something about Kristin. Now it has been 7 years since the Hills and she is back! Kristin Cavallari is such a majestic bombshell. I love her style, her wit, and her husband is pretty cute too.

I tuned in and was in love. Kristin started her own business titled “Uncommon James”,  which consists of unique jewelry designs, and household goods. I now follow Uncommon James on Instagram. It was interesting to hear how Kristin did not put any of her money towards marketing, and just used Social media to promote the brand and sell the merchandise. She is the example of boss babe. The right amount of girl power that women need to possess in this world.

Even though it has been awhile, since the Hills and Laguna beach. The viewer still sees a little glimmer of the Kristin that we all know and love. I am anxious to see how this show unfolds and what is in store for the viewers. I will be tuning into E next Sunday at 10pm, will you?

Ice Cream & Handmaid’s Tale

So I have not been going to the gym lately. I am having a hard time getting back into it. This morning, I had every intention of trying to go to barre class after work today, but it just didn’t happen.

After work, I waited for Anthony to come over and then we went to the Sewickley Confectionery and got ice cream. This place is so cute. It looks like your old fashioned neighborhood ice cream place. They have scoop ice cream, and not soft serve. They also have gelato. I was to get some gelato for Drew on our way home, but for now, we were going to enjoy our ice cream.

When we went outside to sit, the tables were wet from the rain last night, so Anthony wiped his chair down a bit. I didn’t care I just sat down. I got bananas and cream ice cream on a cake cone. Anthony got chocolate cherries? I am not sure. He had him in a waffle cone. We talked about the dates that he was getting ready to go on, and how he just doesn’t seem to care about dating anymore. We all go through phases.

After ice cream, we went back to my house and watched Handmaid’s Tale. This is the second to last episode before the finale. We were screaming at the TV. Girl don”t do that! Girl you are wasting too much time, get going! I am so nervous for the finale. We planned to watch it together next week and get ice cream again!

Sunday/Handmaid’s Tale

Sunday/Handmaid’s Tale

This morning, I got up fed the dogs, and took them outside. We packed up the car, and planned to leave around 12:30pm-1pm. We wanted to go back to Moon so badly!
When we arrived back to Moon, we unpacked the car, and did a load of laundry. I don’t know what it is, but I was so moody and cranky. I asked if we could go grocery shopping, because I already feel like I need to get out. I don’t want to do all this laundry, he agreed.
Before we went to the store, we stopped and got our mail.

Our fire stick came, Drew was so excited it was here! When we got to the store, we got what we needed, while we were at the grocery store, his dad called and said that they won a $50 food voucher at the casino and was going to bring us some Stromboli’s and a calzone. When Drew got off the phone, we decided that was going to be dinner tonight.

When we got home, we put away groceries and Drew set up the fire stick. He even jailbroke it. He learned how to do it by watching a video on YouTube, so now we have all different kinds of movies, and television shows that are typically on the premium channels that one would have to pay monthly for. I knew I what I was doing while he was at the gym tonight!

When Drew went to the gym, I did laundry, and started this controversial series called the Handmaid’s Tale. The series is based on a book by Margaret Atwood. It is a Christian Dystopian novel. It really is messing with my mind.  I can’t stop watching it, because I have to finish the series. I am like that with books, as well. It is pretty good, and really interesting. I book marked all these different series that I wanted to watch, as well. I am going to get nothing done!

Dermatologist & Interview

Dermatologist & Interview

This morning, I woke up when Andrew left for work. I got ready to leave the house for what was going to be a very long day. Since I had the interview, at 2pm I was going to miss out on quality time with my dogs. When I arrived at my parents, I got my stuff out of the car, went inside. I climbed into bed with my mom and the dogs. I loved seeing them. They are so cute!
Eventually, I got a shower and got ready to go to the dermatologist. They wanted to do a full-body scan. I was so nervous, but I am glad I was there. Once I was in the exam room, I got undressed and put this gown on that was open in the front. I was glad to have my mom there with me for moral support and someone to entertain me while I was waiting for the doctor. When the dermatologist came in, she said I didn’t need a steroid shot in my face, but she did tell me that she wanted to take the mole off of my left breast. I didn’t mind. I also encouraged her to please take off the mole on my left cheek. She warned me that there might be a polka-a-dot scar there, and it won’t tan. I didn’t mind. I can cover it up with makeup, and my hair when it is down will cover it as well.
Finally, that mole on the side of my face is gone. The one on my left breast didn’t really bother me, but it bothered her for whatever reason. The needle in the breast didn’t feel too good, but I handled it well.

After the dermatologist, we went back home and I changed and got ready for my interview, packed up my car, and then we went to lunch at Eat n Park in Robinson. While we were at lunch, I tried not to get too nervous about my interview at 2pm, but I was ready. I just wanted to get it over with and go home. I was ready to see Andrew and just get this weekend started.

Once I got to the interview at Panera, I ordered a coffee. I didn’t expect Dave to get there so early. I got a text from him while I was waiting for my coffee that he was in Panera, around the corner, to the left against the wall. I went to introduce myself, while my coffee was being made. He told me he already ordered me coffee and handed me a paper cup. I said, “oh I am so sorry. I didn’t expect you to. I didn’t know.” He said, “It’s okay.” I said,” I will be right back.” I got my coffee and sat down across from him and the interview was underway. In order to make the moment lite, he pointed out that there was a spelling error on my resume, under the Penn Mutual entry. The irony is that everything about that position was a mistake. I know he did it to be funny, and make the mood light, but at the same time, it was bad that I didn’t notice that and I felt like it didn’t make me look good at all!
After the interview, he told me he would get in contact with me at some point next week to move the next step, which would be to meet with the President and him. I was glad that I was going to make to the next step. I did tell him that Andrew used to work with his wife at JDA. He knew of my husband but wasn’t exactly sure, who he was. I think that helped a bit. Once I got home, I waited for Andrew to arrive home, but I was just so tired. It was a long day. I had to clean out my car and get ready for him to come home.
In the evening, Andrew and I ordered Hawaiian pizza and tried to start the show Taboo. We both were pretty tired and ready for bed. We decided to finish Taboo another time.
