Manicure

This morning I woke up around 9:30am. I had a manicure appointment in Crafton with Leanne. She asked if I wanted to come at 11:00am instead. It won’t take her long to finish up, her one customer. I got showered, got dressed, and texted Anthony back and forth about last night.
On my way to Crafton, I stopped at Starbucks and got an iced coffee with cream, a shot of espresso, and a whole wheat bagel with fat-free cream cheese. I drove to Crafton and then stopped at Dunkin Donuts for Leanne. She wanted a medium thin mint iced coffee with cream and sugar. I try to treat her every so often.
When I arrived at the nail salon, everyone was there. I set Leanne’s coffee down at her desk. I went back to the back and toasted my bagel. Nikki was there and she talked to me about how she went to Seven recently, and it was sort of fun, but it was a weird crowd, and how it isn’t the same anymore. I told her about my night last night and how it just was an off night. Nikki and I used to go out all the time, and we had off nights here and there too.
After I was finished with my bagel, Leanne started on my nails. I had taken off my acrylics, so I just needed a manicure to make the nails stronger again. She didn’t seem all that upset. I told her that Drew and I spent so much money on attractions for our England and France trip. We probably spent close to $1,000. I didn’t ask him for certain yet what the amount was, but I bet it was close.
After my manicure, I went tanning. I set the bed for 20 mins. I already had a base from when I went on Thursday. I fell asleep in bed. When I woke up, I had two minutes left in the bed. I just figured I would get up and get dressed. I was ready to head home. When I got dressed, I cleaned the bed. Leanne said she would be in touch about my next appointment. I am shooting for the 19th of May. I want to get a mani before England. I was already getting a pedicure next Sunday for Mother’s Day with my mom.
When I arrived home, Drew was home vacuuming and cleaning the house up a bit. I set my stuff down and kissed him. I went upstairs and got a shower since I went tanning. I changed into grey pants and Pittsburgh Penguins shirt. We were playing tonight. I wanted to show some team spirit.
That evening, we went to South Hills Village mall. I had a 6:00pm appointment at the Apple store with a genius. I needed to get my screen replaced. It was completely shattered from last night. When I arrived, they got me checked in and then took my phone. They said, that I could come back around 7:25 to pick it up, painless. We went to Red Robin the mall, and I had a cheeseburger and fries (I haven’t really been a vegetarian lately). I also had two tall glasses of Coors Light. I was so relaxed. We watched the start of the Penguins game. At a commercial, we cashed out and went back to the Apple Store to pick up my phone. It was ready! It looked like a brand new phone. They encouraged me to get a case for it. I agreed. The cases I like tend to break easily. I don’t have much luck.
We decided to stop at the Verizon store, and pick out a case. There was no one in there. It was empty! They had only 3 people working. The guy who wanted on us showed us where the cases are located and he said, “Of course we have the Kate Spade case. I said, “Perfect.” I picked out the one I wanted and it was Kate Spade. It has pink glitter on it and a grey stripe, “Sold.” The guy at the Apple store said, my Apple Care expires in October and we are unable to renew it. Typically people just upgrade by then. We asked Verizon if we were eligible to upgrade soon and he said, yes, we have 5 more payments on iPhone 7. Then we can upgrade so I will be due for one in October. Typically Apple releases a new phone every September. Drew and I are thinking of Upgrading for a Christmas present. The holidays will be limited due to trying to catch up on our finances after England.
When we got home, I got changed and then laid down on the couch with Drew and we watched the rest of the Penguin’s game.  I fell asleep here and there throughout the game. I was tired. After the game, I got up and went upstairs to go to bed. I was having second thoughts about barre in the morning.

Sunday Dinner

Today, I was supposed to go with my dad to church at Saint Simon and Jude, for his confirmation meeting, but it was cancelled, so there goes that. I was kind of glad. My mom was cooking us dinner tonight, so I wasn’t sure what time I was going to head over there. I didn’t feel like going to the gym, but Drew was going to go and sit in the sauna and the steam room. He was still coughing a good bit.

When I left to go to my parents it was about 2pm, and Drew went to the gym. I couldn’t wait to see my Paris and Louie. I cuddled with them until my parents came home from grocery shopping. When my parents came home, we all relaxed until Drew got there.

At one point, we went down to the basement, and found 14 year old coors light sitting in this old fridge, I was disgusted. I even opened it and sipped it. I was so bitter. We showed Drew and said, oh wow that is gross. My parents forgot it was even there.

Dinner was yummy. We had chicken casserole, and Drew got to take the rest home for lunch tomorrow. When we came home, we watched some of the Oscars then it was time for him to get ready for another week. I was tired.

Glass

Today, my mom and I spent the entire day running errands, and shopping. We had a small lunch, then we went out to dinner with my dad, in the evening. We went to TGI  Friday’s in Robinson, PA.

When I got into the booth, which is the same way that I always get into a booth, by sliding into the booth like a child, then I felt like something in my leg. I thought it was a splinter, or piece of wood or something. It did not hurt right away, and I didn’t realize that I did anything to it at all.

When I swung my leg around, I looked down at my leg and saw that there was a piece of something in my leg. It didn’t dawn on me, until I pulled it out of my leg, but it was glass. I had a piece of glass stuck in my leg. I immediately said, “Oh my God, glass.” My mom said, “What do you mean, glass?” I said, “Mom I have glass in my leg.” I didn’t feel pain, but I was definitely in shock. I took the glass out of my leg,  and pulled up my jean leg and saw the blood streaming down my leg. I got up from the booth and went to the hostess station.

The hostess ran to get the manager. The manager hurriedly escorted me to the back office, where we had to fill out insurance paperwork, so I don’t sue them obviously. He gave me some wipes, and a band aid. The manager said that our bill would be on him tonight, and he is very sorry for all this. I told him that it was okay, and that I did plan on going to med express after dinner to make sure all is well. He said, “Definitely do that.”

When I got back to the table, I noticed my leg would burn off and on, and I couldn’t believe this was happening.  I kind of thought it was funny. We had a great dinner! I called Andrew and told him what happened. He was shocked and so worried. I told him that I was going to go to MedExpress after dinner, and he said definitely do that and to let him know, what they say.

When we finished dinner, we went to med express. They numbed my leg with a needle in two places, and dug around inside the wood for glass, and then bandaged me up with a strip, and a Band-Aid. No stitches thankfully!

When we left Medexpress, I went back home to Moon, but I stopped for a 6 pack of Coors light, and Band-Aids, before going home. Once I got home, I texted Drew that I was home safe, and on the couch resting. He was happy to hear all went well and was excited to see me tomorrow! I couldn’t wait to see him. He was in Orlando for the IBM Vision Conference.
