I managed to get my reading done on yesterday so I would have something to discuss in class. whew!
Also, I had to dog sit for my parents starting September 19-25th. I am excited to see my dogs and I don’t mind doing it, but it seems like I have to pack up my life. I have so much to pack, clothes, stuff for school, etc. Packing is the hard part. I have such a tight schedule anymore. I had to RMU to meet with John Locke tomorrow after work, then start packing up the car to head to my parents Wednesday morning. channeling super girl.
We spent a few hours at the wave pool, soaking up the last pool day of the year. I am already looking forward to next summer. I will miss laying out by the water and going to the pool. It was pretty packed. The guy got on the intercom and made the announcement that they will be closed for the season at 3:30pm today. He made that announcement every hour.
When we left the pool, we went to Bath and Body Works. I needed some scent plugins for Fall. When I do homework, at home in our office I like to plugin the stress relief scent. I wanted to get a couple of those as well. We also bought a Halloween candy dish, but I think it is a dish that you set your jar candle on.
After Bath and Body Works, Drew dropped me off at home and then he went grocery shopping. I needed to get a shower and sit down and do some homework. I wanted to finish my summaries for my Monday night class, or at least start them. They are due next Monday (9/10). I am just trying to take it one assignment at a time.
When Drew came home, I helped him put away the groceries, and we watched the Season 6 finale of Smallville. I can’t believe we are about to start Season 7. I haven’t watched this show in so long. I am glad I got him into it. I look forward to seeing Tom Welling!
After the season finale, I worked on the budget proposal for my internship with RMU. I sent him what I had so far. It is not done, but it is a step in the right direction. I heard back from him and said, thanks for doing this and we will be in touch about the official onboarding process soon. I imagine people were taking long weekends being that is Labor Day weekend. When it was time for bed, I couldn’t fall asleep. I tossed and turned. I love long weekends, but they throw me off.
This morning, I made bacon for breakfast for Drew and I, had some coffee, got a shower, watched one episode of Reign. Then I and sat down at the computer and started to get to work on my revisions for my paper. I felt pretty confident. Sure there were some areas that I could expand, and minor punctuation fixes, but other than that I feel confident. I am ready to see my final grade and go to England!
After my paper corrections, I saved them and moved on to the next assignment which was my two home work assignments for Methodology, they were easy. Questions like find the answer in the article where this happened, or that. No math, and no formulas. I like easy. After I finished the homework assignments, I e-mailed the professor and asked her when we would know the grade that we received on our paper. She said, she was working on them now, but won’t be able to release them until Dr. Lane gets back to her about a question she had regarding grading. She did also say, that I would not be disappointed.
After I finished the homework for methodology, I completed my oral presentation prep for Higher Education Administration. This is the same class, that I have been revising my paper for. I feel pretty confident about it. Me and someone else are the last people to give our presentations. I am not all that nervous. Public speaking is easy for me. It is just the time limit I am concerned about.
When I finished up for the day, it was around 4:30pm. Drew finished the laundry and started dinner. He is so helpful and is there for me 100%. After dinner, we watched the Office, and just relaxed the rest of the night. I got an e-mail from Dr. Q saying the grades for the paper are posted. I logged on and I received a 20/20! I got 100% on paper! I was so happy! I am ready to take on the week.
Well we decided to go over on Thursday. They were calling for some bad weather and we weren’t sure if it was a good idea to go anywhere on Friday. When we stopped over, we had dinner with them and it was good to see Nev and Crystal. Nev was fine for the most part, but towards the end she was getting a bit cranky and moody. She didn’t really seem to want me around at the end of the evening. She was more interested in Drew. The picture in the header says it all. Oh well, she is the only little kid, that is not infatuated with me.
