After Andrew was done with work, we went to go see Emma. I tried to prep Andrew for the movie. I said think Clueless, but less modern. I was so excited for this movie to come out. I love period pieces. The movie was so good! I loved the costumes and the dialogue. I think there is a bit of Emma in each of us. I also liked the actor who played Mr. Knightly. The actors were well picked for the characters.
I spent the entire morning making sure I was prepared and ready for the Spring schedulers meeting in the afternoon. I had a couple things Nancy was going to print out for me, but I feel like I could have always been better prepared. Sometimes they ask me things, that require a computer and Nancy said I didn’t have to bring my lap top, so I didn’t.
At lunch, I took my Louie the 14th biography back and picked up three books Jane Austen’s Northanger Abbey & Mansfield Park. I also picked up Atwood’s The Handmaid’s Tale. I am starting with The Handmaid’s Tale. I am obsessed with the show. I want to see if they are going to change anything from the book, or etc. I do want to own a copy of the book eventually to add to my collection eventually.
The meeting was okay, and I felt like it went better than my first scheduling meeting. Now I had a few e-mails to send and some questions that need answered from a few people before I can begin building the schedule. I am hoping to start building it soon. I am ready to get started on it and get it out of the way.
After work, I was tired, but not that tired and worn out, as I thought I would be the storm is approaching I know. When we got home, I made dinner and my mother-in-law stopped by to drop off a bag of frozen chicken wings for us, and some vitamins for Drew. She updated us on Grandma and we talked about Kelly’s wedding on Saturday. Drew and I didn’t realize it was at 4pm. Drew said, “Bub, if we plan this right we can still go to the pool.” I said, “that is awesome.” His mom said, “yea, there isn’t time in between it is not a Catholic wedding.” Drew said, “Oh thank God, it won’t take forever then.” I said, “ours, didn’t take forever. We didn’t have Eucharist, because someone wasn’t Catholic.” We both laughed, but his mom sure didn’t. His mom is an evangelical and they don’t really care for the Catholic faith, and are so much more judgmental. I just laugh. It used to offend me, now I love that I get my digs in and it makes me laugh. After she left, we ate dinner, cleaned up, and watched Smallville until it was bed time.
