Sunday=Homework All Day

This morning, I made bacon for breakfast for Drew and I, had some coffee, got a shower, watched one episode of Reign. Then I and sat down at the computer and started to get to work on my revisions for my paper. I felt pretty confident. Sure there were some areas that I could expand, and minor punctuation fixes, but other than that I feel confident. I am ready to see my final grade and go to England!
After my paper corrections, I saved them and moved on to the next assignment which was my two home work assignments for Methodology, they were easy. Questions like find the answer in the article where this happened, or that. No math, and no formulas. I like easy.  After I finished the homework assignments, I e-mailed the professor and asked her when we would know the grade that we received on our paper. She said, she was working on them now, but won’t be able to release them until Dr. Lane gets back to her about a question she had regarding grading. She did also say, that I would not be disappointed.
After I finished the homework for methodology, I completed my oral presentation prep for Higher Education Administration. This is the same class, that I have been revising my paper for. I feel pretty confident about it. Me and someone else are the last people to give our presentations. I am not all that nervous. Public speaking is easy for me. It is just the time limit I am concerned about.
When I finished up for the day, it was around 4:30pm. Drew finished the laundry and started dinner. He is so helpful and is there for me 100%. After dinner, we watched the Office, and just relaxed the rest of the night. I got an e-mail from Dr. Q saying the grades for the paper are posted. I logged on and I received a 20/20! I got 100% on paper! I was so happy! I am ready to take on the week.

Nails & Date Night

This morning, I got up and had some coffee. I know I had to work on this paper, but I needed coffee first. After I got caffeinated, I went and got a shower, and then attempted to write my paper. I have only a paragraph. Drew went to the chiropractor, then he was going to get ready to go to the pinball tournament with his friends.
Around 12:30pm, I left to go get my nails done. Leanne texted me and asked me if I could come earlier, so I drove to Starbucks. I needed espresso. I can’t do without it anymore.
When I arrived to the salon, I said hi to everyone and took a seat in Leanne’s chair. My nails were lifting all over the place. I couldn’t wait to get them done. I had her round them some and when she finished they looked amazing! I chose light pink, instead of a design. I had one last week. My nails took an hour. Her mom told me that she got new bulbs in 2 of her beds. She told me to hop in and try them out. I was apprehensive. She said, 10 mins. I was excited actually, but I was nervous.
When I got in the tanning bed, it felt like old times. I was so ready to feel the warmth! I laid down and pulled down the lid. I thought I would forget how to do this, but not so much. I did take a nap. I feel asleep, and when the bed shut off, I woke up. I got out, got dressed, and then cleaned the bed. I painted my toes to match my nails, let them dry under the dryer, and then stopped at my parents.
When I arrived at my parents, I picked up the things they bought for me; pepper spray, and an eyebrow liner pencil. It is called miracle brow. It is universal and blends to any color eye brow you are! I love it. It has easily replaced my Chanel eyebrow liner. My mom and I are baffled how it works.
When I arrived home, Drew was home he gave me a hug and a kiss. His pinball tournament got cancelled, so he said they were going to go to the movies, but he wanted to spend the evening with me. I was glad. He went to the gym, while I was out and about. He got a shower, and I got changed for dinner. We were going to the same Mexican restaurant that we went to for Mike’s birthday, plaza Azteca.
When we arrived at the restaurant, we got seated right away in a cute little booth.  We ordered Corona Lights and Guacamole to start off. Then I ordered two mushroom quesadillas. Drew had the burrito deluxe. It was a nice date.

No Work

This morning, I woke up at around 9:00am. I had coffee and we watched some tv, then I got showered, and got ready to go to my nail appointment.  I was excited to see Leanne. When I arrived at the nail salon, I saw Dan, who was just leaving. He was there to drop some things off for her.  Dan saw me and said, he was on the way to the hospital, they are going to do a biopsy on his dad. I wished him the best, and walked into the salon.

When I walked in, I saw Maci and she walked right up to me. I was surprised to see her there, and not in school. I picked her up and hugged her tight. I miss her and how little she used to be. When I set her down, she told me she has a sore throat. I thought great. Nikki was there she was washing hair, and helping Kathie on the other side of the salon. Nikki and I are still friends, but it has been a long time since our club days.
When I took a seat at Leanne’s desk, she started on my nails. She told me how hard it has been for Dan and at home. She tries to get him to talk to her, but he just stays quiet and cries every so often. Maci being home sick. They can’t catch a break. I feel bad for them. I wish I could do more to help, but I figured getting my nails done helps. She put an acrylic overlay on my natural nails.
After I got my nails done, I was on my way home. Once I got home, I did some more elaborating on my paper and I was finished. I needed someone to look it over and see what more I could say, if it was organized correctly, and if my punctuation was on point. Ugh, I just want this paper to be turned in already.
When Drew came home, we took the fall and Christmas decorations out to the garage that were in the basement.  We were having a new washer being delivered tomorrow and I wanted to get some things out of the basement anyway. I hate clutter. We cleaned up the washer area and moved some basket of clothes into the basement. We haven’t been able to do laundry so it is piling up.
In the evening, I made dinner, and we watched The Office. We are on Season 3 now. I love this show. Before we went to bed, Drew and I had to move the sectional couch, so they would be able to bring the washer in and remove the old one. As we were moving the couch, his slipper got caught on the silver peg that connects the couches together, causing him to fall and smack his head off of the coffee table. He fell on the floor. I hopped over the sectional and knelt down next to him. It didn’t help that we were drinking. We had a couple crowns and water. He told me that he his okay, his head just hurts. I said, “well yea you smacked it off the coffee table.” I grabbed an ice pack and put it under his head, and he rolled over on to his back. I was worried, but the visual of him falling, is kind of funny. We laugh, when we get hurt. I did call his mom and ask her if she could go to the hospital, she said no just give him some Motrin. How many drinks have you guys had? I said, we had two each. She said, “He should be okay.” When I got off the phone with her, I called his brother, Tommy who is a nurse. He said, don’t give him Motrin since he has been drinking. He doesn’t need to go to the hospital, unless there is a lump, or if he is bleeding. Neither was happening, so I guess we are good.
However, I was scared for him to sleep, because you shouldn’t sleep when you smack your head, but I had a feeling he was going to be okay. The washer was coming early tomorrow, so we were off to bed.

Spring Break Week

This week was so quiet. There was hardly anyone on campus. The students were gone and the staff was able to catch a bit of break. I was able to finish writing my paper. All I have to do now is get someone to read it over for organization and preferably punctuation. It is my first big paper of Grad school. I want to do well on it. I will be so satisfied with a “B.” I was able to complete my homework for next Monday as well. I wanted to be so a head of the game, so I could relax, and maybe elaborate more on certain points in my paper.
On Thursday, we were able to leave at 3pm. I locked up the office and went to the Cathedral to get the keys off of Drew.  We drove in today, and I just wanted to go home early! Drew gave his keys and I was on my way home. It was an easy drive home, hardly any traffic at this time of the day.
When I got home, I got ready to go to the gym. We were going to go to the gym, when he came home. I drove to the bus stop to pick him up. When he got in the car, we decided that we just wanted to stay home tonight.
On the way home, we stopped at Giant Eagle and picked up some beer, snack food, and breakfast for tomorrow. We were ready to just chill for the evening. At Giant Eagle, we ran into Iceberg. He was there to promote curbside express. We got our picture with him. Iceberg is the mascot for the Pittsburgh Penguins.

When we got home, we ordered pizza and watched more episodes of the Office. Leanne and I were texting back. She has been my friend, nail tech, and therapist for years.  She told her me her husband’s dad has stage 4 lung cancer. I felt so bad for her. I told her if there is anything she needs just to let us know. I did end up making a 11:30am nail appointment tomorrow. I need my nails done, and It would be good to see her. Life is so precious.
